We loved our stay here. The house itself was clean and cozy and the kitchen was very well-stocked. The outdoor space was also very nice and there was even a rabbit in the yard to welcome us upon our arrival. It was a short walk (less than ten minutes) into Black Mountain, which is a great little mountain town. The hose was friendly and responsive. Highly recommended.

This house was wonderful! Paul was always very responsive and helpful. We couldn’t have enjoyed our stay more. We had a girls weekend with myself and a close friend, and our 2 teenage daughters. The girls loved having the downstairs (bed, bathroom, couch, TV and very spacious area) to themselves. It’s a very easy walk to downtown Black Mountain, and an easy 15ish minute drive to Asheville. We also thoroughly enjoyed the sitting area and fire pit in the backyard. The house is so nice and clean! It’s in a quiet little neighborhood, and a great area to walk or jog. We would all highly recommend this place!

Paul’s place was perfect for our stay. We spent the weekend running around, planning for our daughter’s wedding in the Fall. He was able to provide us with flexibility for our arrival and departure to work around all our appointments. He was very responsive to any questions we had. We felt right at home, there was a bottle of wine, some beers, and snacks upon our arrival, which was a nice welcome to the house. We enjoyed hanging out back by the fire pit. We walked to some breweries in town. Thank you Paul for everything! Would highly recommend this home to others.

Had an absolutely wonderful stay at Paul’s. Lots of wonderful things, but these stood out: - They have done a great job with the reno--the place isn't fussy but has wonderful mid-century/mountain touches. It lives easily--for example, the entry hall with a bench and pegs keeps things organized. - The back yard! Shoutout to the two wonderful sugar maples. Easy to work out there. - Paul was lovely to work with. - Neighborhood was safe and very friendly! Hope to stay again.

This stay was so convenient to the restaurant and downtown scene in Black Mountain, and yet it is well off the main road and in a very peaceful setting. The rooms are comfortable and everything was set up well for us. The host was incredibly helpful and friendly, quick to respond and great with restaurant recommendations in town. The highlight for us was the outdoor seating area and fire pit, which is a perfect setting to enjoy an early fall evening with friends. We’d definitely consider staying here again on our next visit.

Lovely home. Our family of 7 stayed for a couple of nights, everyone was comfortable. Neighborhood felt safe and there were lots of great restaurants nearby to choose from as well. Would definitely stay here again!

Our visit to beautiful Black Mountain are ended with the disastrous rains from Hurricane Helene. Paul and his partners/owner were wonderful - proactive and responsive, kind and concerned for our wellbeing and for our gathered family members nearby. The neighbors, town, and regional emergency response organizations showed the best in everyone - friendly, helpful, calm in the face of crisis, greatly concerned about those who may have been stranded or worse, and also concerned about the basic needs of everyone for water, shelter, food. Everyone in our group (3 of us staying at Paul's Air BnB, and 21 others around the area) is making contributions to Black Mountain, regional, and national entities providing disaster response. We loved our time there and look forward to coming back when things are recovered - there is too much to see and do in one trip!

If you’re considering booking this, do it! The house is incredibly clean, spacious, and so cozy. The host messaged and checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. This property was amazing. It was super cozy and really intimate - just what we needed to spend quality time together as a family. The property had everything we needed to cook a full thanksgiving dinner meal, which we had outside at the table by the fire pit. We were very close to everything that we needed and by the spa that we booked for relax day. We’ve decided to do this trip annually so we will return again next year and hope this property is available because it was everything!!
